Well, this week's blog was going to be a funny summary of how I'm annoying when people first meet me and then they get to know me and love me.
And also about a few words about how I'm a guest in the Queen Bee's hive...and how she can't stand me still. I stay small, stay out of her way and mind my own business.
Well, yesterday during my video visit with a few Serenity Sistas, She was on the phone behind me panicking and asking questions then breaking down in to tears. This is a tough woman who has been incarcerated for a long time with many more years to serve. She told me later that her daughter was put in a medically induced coma less than a hour away from our facility. I suggested a furlough request and she gave me 10 reasons why they would not allow it. She did finally go to the chaplain to request it but since it was a Sunday nothing would happen until today, Monday.
There was still hope that she would be able to go and see her 26 year old daughter in the hospital up until about 1pm.
Word just came that her daughter has passed away. My heart is breaking for her, as a parent should never have to bury a child.
That is why I am sending this request out to the universe and to all of you that have supported me on this journey. I figure if each person who reads this email sends in a few dollars we as a group can help cover the cremation cost.
With Grace, Dignity and Compassion,
Gina
